Liquor worth Rs 6.55 lakh seized in Bajana, 2 accused arrested: Foreign liquor found in Hyundai Venue car

The Bajana police seized cash from a Hyundai Venue car on the road leading from Bajana to Pipli village. Foreign liquor and other items worth Rs 6.55 lakh have been seized. Two of the accused have been arrested in the operation while the other two are absconding. The police were seized from the car. Indian-made foreign liquor (768 plastic/glass bottles and 287 beer tins) worth Rs 1,05,984 were recovered. Apart from this, Rs. Hyundai Venue car worth Rs 5 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. Three mobile phones worth Rs 50,000 were also seized. Thus, a total of Rs. Goods worth Rs 6,55,984 have been seized. The action was taken under the directions of superintendent of police Premsukh Delu to eradicate prohibition and gambling menace in Surendranagar district. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Patdi division N.K. Under Patel's guidance, police inspector A.K. Patel was in charge of the Bajana police station. Vaghela and his team received a tip-off that a consignment of illicit foreign liquor was about to pass in a white Hyundai Venue car. On the basis of a tip-off, the police stopped the vehicle and found a quantity of liquor. The police have arrested two accused, Amrita Krishnaram Devasi (Rabari, 25, resident of Vichhwadi, Sanchore, G. Jalore) and Jaha Matam Ratadiya (Bharwad, 30, resident of Vadegam, T. Sami, G. Patan). Two other accused, Narshi Thakor (resident of Harij) and Sirajkhan Malek (resident of Degam), are absconding in the case. A case under the Prohibition Act has been registered against the arrested accused at Bajana police station and further action is being taken. In this successful operation, the P.I. Head Constable Narendrasinh Laljibhai, Vallabhbhai Babubhai and Constable Dharmendrasinh Gajendrasinh participated in the event.
