Vadodara: A young man from Savli village in Vadodara, who had gone abroad for a data entry job, breathed a sigh of relief when he arrived at the Vadodara airport today. A few days ago, a young man went viral on social media and pleaded with the Indian government to bring him back home, an incident of about 100 youths from Gujarat being stranded in Myanmar. Each person was called on different pretexts
Gunjan Shah narrated the incident in Myanmar, saying, ''We were all called there in the name of data entry jobs. Everyone was called there on different pretexts. It was not that everyone knew about the scamming. Most of the time, people were called there on the pretext of data entry and other small and big work. Some were offered a salary of Rs 70,000-75,000 while someone else was offered a salary of lakhs of rupees. 5 of our Indians have also been in jails in Myanmar since February
We got a lot of support from the government to bring us out, and there in Myanmar too, many NGOs helped us. We were first told to Thailand for the job and from there we were taken directly to Myanmar through the jungle. We were still newcomers, so we weren't tortured, but some of the people who were already here are in jail. 5 of our Indians have also been in jails in Myanmar since February, who are still trapped there. If you want to quit your job, you have to pay Rs 4.5-5 lakh
Some agents and others are also involved in this job scam scam, who lure ordinary people with high salaries and take them there. They didn't ask us for money, but if we had to leave our jobs, we had to pay 4.5-5 lakh rupees. People from many cities including Anand and Ahmedabad in Gujarat
He further said that there was already a war going on. There was a war going on between the two armies of Myanmar, so we escaped from there. There were about 19 of us from Gujarat. The places where we became refugees in the NGO were people from many cities including Anand and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Apart from this, there were people stranded in many states like Uttarakhand and Himachal, who are reaching Delhi. Apart from this, people from countries including Canada, Ethiopia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal were also stranded there. Some people have even gone to Cambodia with the boss in the lure of jobs or to call other people. I still have other people's details, I have handed them over. Here the boss's name is Chinese, which is not the original name. They were all Chinese, but most of them were our people. We thank the government, the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force. Nearly 100 youths from Vadodara and Gujarat who went abroad to get data entry jobs abroad have been stranded in Myanmar. A total of 10 youths, including a youth from Sandhasal village in Savli taluka of Vadodara district, were stranded in Myanmar.
