Bjp's Sponge Ponde not drinking water: Sky Harmony-Anandnagar

The sponge pond pole created by the BJP in the water conservation campaign in Karelibagh has been exposed. Anandnagar Society and Sky Harmony Road were flooded as the sponge pond built on June 9 did not get water. Due to which there was a lot of resentment among the local people. The residents made serious allegations that a sponge pond was built to drain out the water of the adjacent Adukio-Dadukio Garba Ground. As part of the water conservation campaign, a sponge pond was built by the Bharatiya Janata Party near Karelibagh Sky Harmony. The locals were given the impression that the rainwater filled in Sky Harmony and Anandnagar society would be drained through sponge ponds and the water would recede into the ground, but it has been alleged to have been duped. Two-and-a-half inches of rain that battered the city on Saturday afternoon led to knee-deep waterlogging on Sky Harmony Road. There was resentment among the residents towards the local councillors as the water was not drained out. According to local resident Minesh Pandya, during the inauguration of the sponge pond, there was a demand to clean the choked drainage line of the area, but the local councillors did not pay heed to this and today this situation has been created. The sponge pond has been built to drain the water of the Adukio-Dadukio Garba Ground next to sky harmony. While the water situation on the road every year remains the same even today. The leaders fell asleep as residents expressed anger against the councillors at the inauguration of the pond. On July 9, residents living in the vicinity of the sponge pond's inauguration tank had expressed their anger against councillors Bandish Shah and Manoj Patel over the issue of water and choke-up drainage lines that have been overflowing for years. Bjp leaders, other councillors and workers present there were shocked to express their displeasure over the cash being offered to the BJP councillors who had failed to solve the problem of years of waterlogging.
