Today, important discussions were held by the office bearers of the State Primary Teachers' Union with Mr. A.B. Patel regarding BLO (Booth Level Officer). In this meeting, discussions took place on the current roles of the BLO and several important reforms based on that. Concerns were raised regarding the appointment of primary teachers as BLOs in the state, indicating the need for various reforms.
The first important issue discussed was to amend the orders related to BLOs. For example, teachers whose duty station and residency differ as per the voter list will have their BLO orders changed. Furthermore, those teachers who have served as BLOs for over three years and have been reappointed will also see modifications to their orders. Specifically, physically challenged teachers or those nearing retirement will be relieved from BLO duties so they can focus more on their educational responsibilities. In this meeting, Mr. A.B. Patel listened to each issue seriously and deliberated on several suggestions. If amendments to the BLO orders are not made according to the suggestions, the State Primary Teachers' Union will escalate this issue.
In this meeting, Mr. A.B. Patel listened attentively to each issue and discussed several suggestions. If the directives regarding the BLO orders are not modified, the State Primary Teachers Association has hinted at making a strong representation on this matter. This change is expected to bring about positive changes in the educational field of the state in various social and economic contexts.
