Vadodara: A suspended officer of Bank of Baroda has been booked for allegedly giving a home loan of Rs 1.97 crore to six customers at the State Bank of India in Irlarapark on the basis of bogus documents.
Mitali Vedani, manager of Bank of Baroda on the M S University campus, told the police, "The job of Scale One officer Sandeep Chauhan (Sai Astha Residency, Rajnikant Jani Road, Manjalpur, originally from Telangana) in our branch was to inform customers about the type of accounts to open and make transactions.
