Botad LCB seizes truck loaded with liquor: Seizes contraband worth Rs 52.71 lakh from near Umarda in Gadhada, arrests two men from Amreli

Botad LCB police have seized a truck loaded with foreign liquor near Mota Umarada village in Gadhada taluka. The police have seized liquor worth Rs 27.40 lakh and valuables worth Rs 52.71 lakh from the truck. Two persons from Amreli have been arrested in this case. Botad L.C.B. P.I. M. G. Jadeja and PSI Patel and their team received information that a truck loaded with foreign liquor was going from Bhavnagar to Amreli. On the basis of this information, the police set up a watch near Mota Umrada village. According to the information, the truck was intercepted by the police and a large quantity of foreign liquor was recovered from it. A total of 8,784 bottles of foreign liquor worth Rs 27.40 lakh were recovered from the truck. The police have seized a total of Rs 52.71 lakh, including liquor and trucks. The police have arrested two persons named Rakesh Bhimji Mori and Kishan Suresh Dave of Amreli in connection with the case. Police are further investigating where the liquor was brought from and where it was supposed to be delivered.
