Chinmayi Sripada's attack on Thalapathy Vijay's party: Singer asks after TVK worker arrested in sexual harassment case - 'Is this the change?'

Thalapathy Vijay's party TVK (Tamil Vetri Kazhagam) has won 108 seats in the Tamil Nadu elections. Soon after the election results were declared, one of his party workers was arrested on charges of raping a minor. After the news came out, singer Chinmayi Sripada questioned Vijay's party and criticized it. Reacting to the arrest of Thalapathy Vijay's party worker on social media platform Chinmayi Sripada took to Instagram and wrote, "People who commit sexual offences, they often try to get to the place where they see strength and an opportunity to escape. One such person in TVK (Tamil Vetri Kazhagam) is accused of sexually abusing a minor. "If even those who promise to change make such mistakes, then there is no hope for the safety of children and women. It doesn't feel good to say 'everyone is the same', but such incidents make people think the same," he said. He is accused of sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl. The accused has been identified as Dinesh alias Pambu Dinesh. The victim's family lodged a complaint against him this week following which he was arrested. Vijay Vijay formed the Tamil Vetri Kazhagam party 2 years ago. His party contested all the 234 seats in the Tamil Nadu elections, out of which the party won 108 seats. However, 118 seats are needed for a majority. Vijay himself contested and won from two seats Perambur and Tiruchirappalli. If Vijay's party gets a majority, he can become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Notably, Vijay is also in the news these days for winning the election and his name being associated with South star Trisha Krishnan. The results of the Tamil Nadu elections were announced on Trisha Krishnan's birthday i.e. on May 4. On the day of the election results, Trisha first visited the Tirupati temple and then reached Vijay's house.
