Crime Branch nabs two accused of Sikligar gang: 6 crimes including burglary, vehicle theft and violation of arms and declaration of arms were solved, the gang was absconding after attacking the police.

Vadodara: The Vadodara city crime branch has nabbed two accused of the Sikligar gang with deadly weapons and an XUV vehicle while they were roaming around with the intention of stealing a house in a stolen Eco car 15 days ago. The gang tried to attack the police in Sama area and fled from the spot. Apart from this, six crimes, including burglary, vehicle theft and violation of the Arms And Ammunition Declaration, have been solved. On the night of June 21, 2025, three accused of the Sikligar gang entered the Shakti Park society in Sama area in a stolen Eco car with the intention of burglary. A team of crime branch and Sama police station surrounded the gang at 4.30 am. The accused tried to fatally attack the police with swords and threw an iron monkey leaf and tried to flee by damaging government properties (police vehicles, cement pillars of MGVCL) as well as the Brezza vehicle parked in the society. One of the accused, Ranjit Singh Sikligar, was nabbed while two other accused, Gurmukhsingh Kallusingh Bawri and Sunilsingh Pansing alias Arjunsingh Bawri, escaped. A team of Vadodara Crime Branch launched a manhunt for the two accused who escaped on the basis of human resources and nabbed the two accused from an XUV vehicle near Siddheshwar Hill Square on Ajwa Road. Deadly weapons (swords, daggers, iron pipes), two mobile phones, cash worth Rs 10,000 were recovered from the car. Rs 1,500 and a stolen bike have been seized.
