'Dhurandhar 2' surpasses 'Baahubali 2': Earns over Rs 1,033 crore in India in 20 days; 'Pushpa 2' still has to earn Rs 200 crore

Ranveer Singh's film 'Dhurandhar 2' is constantly creating new records at the box office. Within 20 days of its release, the film has collected a net collection of Rs 1,033.37 crore in India. With this figure, the film has surpassed the domestic net collection of South filmmaker SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2' (Rs 1,030.42 crore). Now the film can soon become the highest-grossing film in India, breaking Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' all-time record. According to trade analyst website Secnilk, 'Dhurandhar 2' will still have to earn Rs 200.63 crore more to become India's highest-grossing film. The total net collection of 'Pushpa 2' in India is Rs 1,234.10 crore. While 'Dhurandhar 2' has earned Rs 1,033.37 crore. Talking about the worldwide gross collection, 'Dhurandhar 2' has collected Rs 1,641.21 crore so far. Out of this, foreign contribution is Rs 404 crore. Analysing the collections of the film in the South, 'Dhurandhar 2' has been very strong in the Hindi belt. 'Dhurandhar 2' has so far collected a net collection of Rs 960.54 crore in the Hindi market, which is almost equal to the Hindi version of 'Pushpa 2'. However, the film did not perform as well as Allu Arjun's film did in the southern states. 'Pushpa 2' collected Rs 511.70 crore in South India, which 'Dhurandhar 2' will have to make up for in the Hindi market. Even on the 20th day, the pace of earnings of the film has remained steady despite reaching the third week. On Tuesday (20th day), the film collected Rs 10.10 crore in India, which is almost equal to Monday's earnings. The film earned Rs 674.17 crore in its first week and Rs 263.65 crore in its second week. The film, which was released on March 19, earned Rs 102.55 crore on its opening day. The success of this film can be gauged from the fact that it surpassed the overseas lifetime collection of the first part of 'Dhurandhar' in just 10 days. It has become the fastest film to earn Rs 1000 crore (worldwide). The film has achieved all the milestones from Rs 100 crore to Rs 1000 crore in India in the shortest possible time.
