Rajkot: At the end of detailed arguments and submissions by both the parties, the sessions court rejected the discharge application of the accused.
Rajkot: Seven of the 15 accused in the TRP game zone fire tragedy in Rajkot, which claimed the lives of 27 people, have been discharged from the case by a sessions court here. Those whose discharge applications have been rejected include Game Zone owner Dhaval Thakkar, game zone cafe operator Nitin Lodha, TPO Mansukh Sagathia, ATP Gautam Joshi, ATP Rajesh Makwana, Assistant Engineer Jaideep Chaudhary and Deputy Chief Fire Officer Bhikhabhai Theba.
In the discharge application on behalf of the accused, it was argued that they are innocent, despite there being no evidence against them, the police have filed a charge sheet. The court should analyse the entire evidence while issuing the charge sheet.
