In a major decision, US President Donald Trump issued an order imposing new reciprocal tariffs ranging from 10% to 41% on dozens of countries. While signing the order, Trump said that this step has been taken to remove the trade imbalance that has been going on for years and strengthen america's economic security.
From where do you know the implementation?
According to a factsheet issued by the White House, this order will not only change the duty rates, but will also determine the date of implementation of these tariffs. Trump had initially set a date of August 1 for tariffs, so that trade agreements with all countries could be completed by then, but now for more than 70 countries on which the tariffs will apply, this tariff order will come into effect 7 days after it is issued.
