Important changes have been made in the police system of Gir Somnath district following the order of the state home department. District police chief Jaideepsinh Jadeja has appointed 9 new police inspectors (PIs) in various police stations, while ordering internal transfers of 3 PIs. These changes are expected to further strengthen the law and order function in the district. In the vacancies due to earlier transfers, 9 PIs in Leave Reserve have been posted with immediate effect. These appointments will increase the efficiency and administrative speed of the police system. Newly appointed PIs and their allocation: N.V. Haryana: Kodinar Police Station A.G. Jadhav: Somnath temple security M.A. Cyber Crime Police Station VL Gagia: Talala Police Station YB Rana: Somnath temple security D.B. Gadhvi: Women's Police Station J.K. Mori: Una Police Station M.G. Vasava: Somnath Marine Police Station Chavda: Internal transfer of Gir Gadhada Police Station 3 PI: Three officers have also been transferred internally in the district police system: M.K. Vanarka: Prabhas Patan police station from Kodinar to J.J. Parmar: Navabandar Marine Police Station M.G. Patel: Somnath Marine will strengthen the security system at Veraval City Police Station (as a second PI)
These changes made by the district police chief will infuse new energy into the police system. Experienced officers have been appointed especially in sensitive departments like Somnath temple security, marine area and cybercrime. The decision has been taken as part of the security arrangements to be further geared up in view of the growing tourism and religious flow in the district. As a result of these changes, the sense of security among the citizens is expected to increase.
