David Dhawan is not loyal, says Govinda 'It's difficult to make such films with Varun'
The bitterness of the duo of Govinda and David Dhawan, who gave many superhit comedy films to Bollywood in the 90s, has once again come to the fore. Govinda recently said in an interview with India Today that David Dhawan was not loyal to him. According to Govinda, when he felt that the matter was now becoming dangerous for his career, he thought it best to stay away from the duo. "I feel like David won't be able to do films with his son Varun like he did with me. In an interview, Govinda said, "David Dhawan was honest with his work, but he was not loyal as a friend and actor. He further said that loyalty is very important in the film industry. If your loyalty is to someone else, honesty will be questioned. I never thought he was a stranger, but I felt that some people were inciting him against me.' Govinda said there was a time when he felt that things were getting out of hand. "I thought it was a dangerous matter now, so it was only right to get out of it," he said. The duo came together again in 2007 for the film 'Partner'. It was Govinda who advised David to cast Salman Khan in the film. The film was a blockbuster but the two never worked together again after that. The rift between Govinda and David deepened when the remake of 'Chashme Baddoor' was made in 2013. Govinda claims that he gave the idea of the film to David, but David made the film with someone else without informing him. Govinda said that when he called David to do his 18th film together, the director did not respond to him. During a difficult interview with Varun Dhawan When Govinda was asked about Varun Dhawan, he said that David now wants to repeat the same success with his son. Govinda said, 'I feel like he can't do films with his son like he did with me. It's a very difficult task to recreate that kind of magic. In the 90s, Govinda and David Dhawan together gave about 15 superhit films like 'Coolie No. 1', 'Hero No. 1', 'Saajan Chale Sasural' and 'Raja Babu'. At that time, David's direction and Govinda's comedy had a one-sided rule at the box office, but later the duo broke up due to mutual differences.
