Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem accused the United States of pressuring Lebanon to make concessions to Israel without guarantees in return. Speaking on November 11, Qassem said Washington was trying to disarm Hezbollah and limit the Lebanese army’s strength to confronting the group. He said the US, through Israel, sought to end Lebanon’s “resistance capabilities.” Qassem added that Hezbollah would not relinquish its weapons, which he said gave the group “strength and determination” to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty and dignity. n18oc_crux | n18oc_world
