Entry into Pakistan Super League
A few weeks ago, there was an auction for 2 new teams in the PSL, out of which one of the Sialkot teams emerged. Smith has never played in the Pakistan Super League before. He was scheduled to make his PSL debut in 2019 but could not play a single match due to injury.
According to some reports, marquee players in the PSL get salaries between US$3.5 million and $400,000.
Ignored in T20 World Cup
If we look at Steve Smith's total T20 career, he has scored 6,242 runs in 272 matches so far. In this huge career, he has scored 5 centuries and 30 half-centuries. He has also completed more than a thousand runs in international T20 cricket. But his strike rate is only 125.45.
