According to sources close to news agency PTI, former West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are likely to attend the meeting. The meeting will discuss a joint strategy to counter the BJP-led government and strengthen opposition unity. It is also possible to talk about the recent assembly elections and the changing political equations in many states. DMK and AAP are unlikely to attend the meeting after the Congress in Tamil Nadu supported TVK According to reports, the DMK is unlikely to attend the meeting. However, efforts are being made to include TVK in this meeting. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has already publicly distanced itself from the alliance, so the party will not attend the meeting. The meeting is expected to raise the issue of alleged attacks on TMC leaders in Bengal by Mamata Banerjee and seek support from parties in the India Bloc. The first meeting of the opposition alliance was held in Patna on June 23, 2023. The meeting was chaired by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. The meeting was attended by 15 opposition parties.
