A new controversy has emerged in the Women's ODI World Cup 2025. Former Pakistan women's cricket team captain Sana Mir has stirred up a new controversy by referring to 'Azad Kashmir' during commentary. Actually, this case is of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match played on Thursday, in which the Pakistan team batted first and was bundled out for just 128 runs.
Given the political relations between India and Pakistan, Sana Mir's mention of 'Azad Kashmir' in the commentary can become a big controversy because the Asia Cup trophy controversy is not over yet. In the Asia Cup 2025, 3 matches were played between India and Pakistan, in which the Indian team did not join hands with the Pak players. At the same time, after winning the final, Team India refused to take the trophy from the hands of PCB Chairman and ACC President Mohsin Naqvi. The trophy controversy is still ongoing.
Player ‘ from Azad Kashmir’ is this kind of commentary allowed?

And then they say keep politics away from sports. pic.twitter.com/1HSHjRWMZG
What the hell is ‘ Azaad Kashmir’ @ICC @BCCI? Using this on a global stage is outrageous. @JayShah @MithunManhas, take immediate, strict action— Ban Sana Mir . There is NO ‘ Azaad Kashmir.’ Such anti-India propaganda has no place in cricket!#PakvsBan #CWC25
