BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut reached seraj, a flood-hit area in her constituency Mandi (Himachal Pradesh). Here a woman got angry at Kangana. He said to Kangana, "Have you come only to take your photo? It's a little bit like you catch two men, take your photo and then go away.' To this, Kangana told the woman, 'Everyone keeps calling me Kangana-Kangana. Which cabinet do I have? I have two brothers who live with me. I don't even get any relief fund. I will bring a special package (Nidhi), but the Congress government will swallow it." Since the night of June 30, there have been incidents of cloudbursts at 16 places in Mandi. 14 people have died due to the flood, while 28 people are still missing. Kangana is an MP from Mandi. She has been visiting the flood-affected areas since July 6 after seeing the damage caused by the floods. Kangana was trolled for not visiting flood-affected areas
Kangana Ranaut was trolled on social media ahead of her trip. Kangana wrote on Twitter, "I was touring mandi area. Meanwhile, a stone fell on my car. This time is not safe to travel to Himachal. After this people started questioning Kangana for not visiting the flood-affected areas in Mandi. When former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur was asked about this, he said, "I do not know. I don't want to comment on this. We are here. We are here to live and die with people who are worried. I don't want to comment on people who are not," Kangana said in response to which she said, "I tried to reach the flood-affected areas of Seraj and Mandi, but Jairam Thakur advised me to wait till the roads are restored." Last year too, the affected areas reached late.
On July 31 last year, cloudbursts took place in Samej in Shimla, Bagipul in Kullu and a village in Mandi. About 51 people were killed in the floods. Even during that time Kangana did not visit the disaster victims for many days. "I spoke to mlAs and DCs of the flood-affected areas, they advised me not to travel to Himachal right now as there are red and orange alerts in many places," Kangana wrote in a post on social media. Here he said that the Sukhu government of the Congress stopped me from going to the flood-affected areas. No need for chair for help, says Minister Vikramaditya
PWD minister Vikramaditya Singh took a dig at Kangana's cabinet statement. Vikramaditya Singh wrote on his Facebook account, 'No one needs a chair to help. Whether you have a cabinet or not, it is important to have strong willpower. It is sad to see how this whole subject is being mocked."
Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said the ruling party MP says he does not have funds for the disaster. They don't have the strength for relief. The way Kangana has said this with a smile is very insensitive. The MP should resign.
