KC Venugopal has been named as the new Chief Minister of Kerala, 10 days after the election results were declared.

Congress leader V D Satheesan will be the next Chief Minister of Kerala. The Congress announced it on Thursday, 10 days after the state election results were declared. Satishan is an MLA from Paravur seat. Congress leader Deepa Dasmunshi said at a press conference that the Congress held a meeting in Thiruvananthapuram on May 7. After discussing with Rahul Gandhi, it was decided that Kerala CM VD Satheesan would be the Chief Minister.
