In a shocking incident, the locks of six shops in Divya Ashish Complex in Patan city's Railway Garnala area were broken. With the onset of winter, the chain of thefts seems to have resumed in the area. The entire incident of theft has been captured in the CCTV cameras installed in the complex. The smugglers tried to cover up the camera before committing the theft. Despite the area being a major thoroughfare for police patrolling and frequent thefts in the complex, there have been frequent thefts in the complex. The incident shows the inaction of the police patrol. Since it is the Diwali season, traders have filled their shops with huge quantities. At such a time, the incident of theft has increased the worries of the traders. In this regard, the Patan city Congress president has demanded increased police patrolling. He has appealed for police patrolling during the night in sensitive areas of the city on the occasion of Diwali festival.
