PSI caught red-handed taking bribe in accident case: Demanded Rs 2 lakh, ACB caught taking Rs 1 lakh

The Dahod ACB has conducted an anti-bribery operation at the Vardhari outpost of Kothamba police station in Mahisagar district. The ACB team has caught the PSI red-handed who demanded a bribe to get bail and not beat up the accused in a serious accident case. According to the information received, the driver of the complainant's car met with a serious accident. In order to get bail to the accused in this crime case and not to beat him up, PSI Kesarsinh Ratuji Chavda demanded a bribe of Rs 2 lakh from the complainant. Since the complainant did not want to pay the bribe amount, he approached the Dahod ACB police station. Based on the complaint, the ACB set a trap at the Vardhari outpost. As soon as PSI Kesarsinh Chavda accepted the bribe of Rs 1 lakh, the ACB team caught him from the spot. During the proceedings, a bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh has also been recovered. In this case, the Dahod ACB has initiated legal action against the accused PSI.
