Surat: The body of a woman, who was found in a foul-smelling condition from a locked house in Machhiwad area of Mandvi taluka of Surat district, has been resolved. Police have arrested the deceased woman's husband Dinesh Damor from Ahmedabad. Police investigation has revealed that the husband killed his wife due to family dispute. Dinesh would often threaten to kill Sumitra.
According to the information received, pushpa Chauhan's house in Machhiwad on Ambaji Road in Mandvi was a resident of Santrampur in Mahisagar and mandvi ST. Dinesh Damor, who worked as a driver at the bus depot, lived on rent with his wife Sumitra. There were frequent fights between the couple, and Dinesh even threatened to kill his wife. Locals informed the police after a foul smell emanated from the building.
A month or two ago, after a similar quarrel, Sumitra had gone to her pier, which Was explained and brought back by Dinesh. However, for the last four days, the door of this house was locked. Locals informed the police after a strong foul smell emanated from the building on Friday. Police reached the spot and broke the lock and entered the house and found the woman's body inside. When the police sent the body to Surat for forensic PM, it was revealed that it was her husband Dinesh who killed her. The police investigation revealed that Dinesh Damor was fed up with the constant quarrels with his wife and had strangled Sumitra to death as per the threat given earlier. The deceased woman's husband Dinesh's phone was switched off while trying to contact him. The killer himself was employed as a driver in ST. Mandvi S.T. A check at the bus depot revealed that he had not even gone to work since June 29. So the police suspected that the ST would travel by bus and escape. The police had sent messages to the ST depot and the police of different districts. The police of other districts were also alerted. Kagdapith police picked up the killer Dinesh from Geeta Mandir ST Depot in Ahmedabad and handed over the possession of the accused to Mandvi police.
