Vadodara: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won the by-election to the 145-Manjalpur Assembly seat in Vadodara city. BJP's Satish Patel defeated Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari by a huge margin of 30,499 votes. Satish Patel got a total of 55,084 votes, while the Congress candidate got 24,585 votes.
Victory of BJP's grassroots workers
Expressing happiness after the victory, Satish Patel said that this victory is the result of the hard work of the grassroots workers and leaders of the BJP. He added that he would like to congratulate him on this grand victory. He dedicated it to Yogesh Patel and thanked all the workers and voters of the area.
Bhikhabhai Rabari accepted the result
On the other hand, defeated Congress candidate Bhikhabhai Rabari accepted the results and made serious allegations against the system. He said that he was getting an enthusiastic response from the people but the BJP put the entire administration behind him. He also accused workers of attacking them and luring voters.
