The Meghpar (Padana) police raided Ambawadi area of Moti Khavdi village in Jamnagar district and seized liquor worth Rs 96,350. The police have arrested the accused, Vimalbhai Vinubhai Parmar, while the liquor supplier Karanbhai Vikani of Morbi is absconding. The police received information that Vimal Parmar kept foreign liquor of Indian origin in his room. At around 8 pm, the police raided with panches. During the investigation, a total of 84 bottles of foreign liquor of different brands (worth Rs 42,000) and 329 slippers (worth Rs 49,350) were recovered from the room. A Samsung Galaxy A22 5G mobile phone worth Rs 5,000 was also seized from the accused. During interrogation, Vimal Parmar said that he had obtained the liquor from Karanbhai Vikani of Morbi. The police have declared Karanbhai Vikani wanted and launched a search for him. A case under the Prohibition Act has been registered against the duo at Meghpar (Padana) police station.
