Oman Coast Attack: Amid the ongoing fierce military conflict in West Asia (Middle East), a commercial oil tanker has been attacked by the US military near the coast of Oman. A total of 28 crew members were onboard the ship, out of which 24 were Indians. After this violent attack, the very sad news of the disappearance of 3 Indian soldiers has come to light, while 21 Indians have been rescued safely with the help of the Oman Navy. India strongly condemned the attack and summoned the US diplomat in New Delhi to lodge a strong protest.
In an official statement issued on Wednesday night, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said, "The name of the commercial vessel that was attacked is 'Settebello', and it is a chemical/oil product tanker registered under the flag of 'Palau'.
