Newly constructed Mansarovar inaugurated in Palanpur: Minister of State Darshanaben Vaghela inaugurated under AMRUT 2.0

Today a new chapter has been added to the development of Palanpur city. Minister of State for Urban Development and Urban Housing Darshanaben Vaghela inaugurated the newly constructed Mansarovar Lake. This huge lake has been developed in a modern way by Palanpur Municipality under the central government's AMRUT 2.0 scheme. This project will prove to be a boon for the environment and water level of Palanpur. Several schemes are being implemented by the Central and State Governments to augment basic amenities in urban areas. The main objective of AMRUT 2.0 is to promote water conservation, environment preservation and provide comfortable and natural environment to citizens in the cities. Mansarovar Lake is a part of this vision, which will also add to the beauty of the city. Storm water projects have been implemented by the State Government to maintain continuous availability of water in the lake. Under this project, necessary infrastructure is being prepared to prevent the city's rainwater from being wasted and to bring it to Mansarovar Lake in a systematic manner. Due to this, the ground water level of Palanpur will also improve. Speaking on the occasion, Minister Darshanaben Vaghela said, "The most important thing for development is willpower. If there is a strong will power, even the seemingly impossible becomes possible", the Prime Minister said. He congratulated the team of Palanpur Municipality for this wonderful work and added that Palanpur is now moving towards emerging as a modern city like Ahmedabad. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister greeted all the sisters on the occasion of International Women's Day. He proudly stated that 3 women ministers in the Gujarat government and the highest office of the President of the country are a symbol of India's growing Nari Shakti.
