Actor Pankaj Tripathi's mother passes away at the age of 89; Family requests to respect privacy

Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi's mother Hemvanti Devi passed away on Friday at her ancestral home in Belsand in Bihar's Gopalganj district. He was 89 years old and had been ill for some time. According to the family, he died at home. Pankaj Tripathi was present with his mother during her last darshan. His last rites were performed in Belsand on Saturday in the presence of family members and close relatives. The Tripathi family has requested everyone to pray for the peace of the soul of Hemvanti Devi. The family has also requested the media and well-wishers to respect their privacy in this time of grief. Pankaj Tripathi's father Pandit Banaras Tiwari passed away in 2023. He breathed his last at the age of 99. On the work front, Pankaj was last seen in the film 'Metro' in July. Directed by Anurag Basu, the film also starred Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan and Anupam Kher.
