Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan has taken an important decision. In order to maintain the representation of women in the Executive Council (EC) of the University, 6 women members have been appointed. With this, the representation of women in the executive committee has increased. Vice-Chancellor Dr. K.C. Poriya gave priority to the representation of women. As per the rule of one-third of the women members in the Executive Committee, for the first time 6 women teachers were included in the EC on the basis of seniority. The new members were welcomed in the EC meeting. The EC members were given a famous Gujarati book by the GTU to explain their work. The university will sign an MoU with Gujcoast for the Women Technology Centre, which was approved by the EC.
