Rajkot: The Somnath Mahadev Jyotirlinga Temple, which has been the centre of Shiva devotion for thousands of years and symbolizes the victory of the power of creation over destructive powers, has been rebuilt with double the energy after the destruction of every temple exactly 1000 years ago and 17 times since. Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Somnath this evening as part of the Swabhiman Parv, which is celebrated to mark the completion of 75 years of the construction of the temple in 1951. He also bowed his head to Mahadev during the 72-hour long Omkar Mantra chanting programme.
