The grand closing ceremony of the 'Atma Shakti-Sva Bale Swa Raksha' programme was held at Gajrawadi on Thursday jointly organized by the Town Primary Education Committee and United Way of Baroda with the noble objective of women empowerment and security. Under this project, which was implemented during the year 2025-26, a total of 1375 girl students from 11 primary schools of the city have been made self-reliant by intensive self-defense training.T.A. The valedictory function was held at Kavi Premanand Primary School, Gajrawadi on April 2 at 10:30 am, where the trainee girl students gave a live demonstration of their defensive skills. The students mesmerized the guests by performing various techniques of karate and self-defence. In addition, all the successful trainees were awarded certificates by the dignitaries on the occasion. The Chief Guest of the program 'Atma Shakti-Sva Bale Swa Raksha' was the Administrative Officer of the Education Committee. Vipul Bhartia was present. He said that this type of training boosts the confidence of the students and makes them security conscious. Apart from this, Neelam Acharya, Executive Director from United Way of Baroda was specially present along with her team and applauded the spirit of the girls.
