A tragic accident took place between a CNG rickshaw and an Activa near Bedipara Chowk in Rajkot city late at night, in which two friends were killed. According to the preliminary investigation by the police, the accident occurred near Bedipara Chowk after the two youths lived in the Velnathpara area on Morbi Road and were working in a grocery shop in Parabazar after asking them to go to have tea from home. The police have shifted the body for postmortem and necessary action is being taken. They left home on Activa saying that they were going to have tea
Dashrath Rajubhai Bajania, 18, a resident of Velnathpara on Morbi Road, and his best friend Chandresh Dharmeshbhai Nimawat, 23, who lived next door, left their house at around 11.30 pm last night on an Activa asking them to go for tea. Meanwhile, the driver of a CNG rickshaw coming at full speed hit their Activa while passing in front of Kanhaiya Hotel near Bedipara old police outpost. As soon as the rickshaw hit them terribly, the two friends were thrown on the road with the vehicle, due to which they suffered serious injuries on their head and body. Both were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
Following the tragic accident, Dashrath and Chandresh were immediately rushed to Rajkot Civil Hospital for treatment by 108 where the doctors on duty examined Dashrath and Chandresh and declared them dead. The staff of the hospital outpost informed the B-Division police about the incident and the police took necessary action. In the police investigation, Dashrath was the youngest of three brothers and one sister and unmarried, whose father earns the family's livelihood by driving a rickshaw. While his friend Chandresh was the eldest of the two brothers and his father lives a retired life. The two friends worked together in a grocery shop in Parabazar and went out to have tea together.
