Vadodara, Nov 7 (IANS) With the completion of the local body elections, the pressure on the ration shop operators of the supply department officials has increased. Shopkeepers across the state have protested against the implementation of the Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) scheme for ration card holders receiving government food grains under the NFSA without paying a single additional compensation to the shopkeepers.
After the eKYC process earlier, the state government is now going to implement a new system CBDC to provide detailed information about how much food grains are getting or are getting from ration shops. A tie-up has been made with Punjab National Bank for this purpose. Apart from this, for onboarding of beneficiaries for CBDC, a ration card registration for VCE (Business Correspondent) working at the village level is Rs.
