Salman Khan in trouble again, court issues notice: 'Being Human Jewellery' showroom accused of fraud and loss of crores

The Bollywood superstar's troubles have increased. A Chandigarh district court has issued notices to Salman Khan, his sister Alvira Khan and a director of Style & Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd, among others, in connection with an alleged fraud case related to the actor's brand 'Being Human Jewellery' showroom. According to the notice, all the people will have to appear before the court on October 5. The court also issued summons to all the accused and asked them to file their replies on the allegations levelled against them. The case was registered on the basis of a complaint filed by Arun Goel, a businessman living in Manimajra in Chandigarh. The complaint alleges that he was cheated while opening a jewellery showroom in the name of Being Human brand, due to which he suffered a loss of crores of rupees. I met Salman Khan on the sets of 'Bigg Boss' The complainant, businessman Arun Gupta, has claimed that he met Salman Khan on the sets of 'Bigg Boss' in Mumbai in 2018. He alleges that during this time, he was motivated to open an exclusive showroom of Being Human Jewellery in Chandigarh. According to the complaint, he was assured that Salman Khan himself would inaugurate the showroom and also cooperate in the promotion of the brand. The complainant also claimed that he had made the video clips and photos of the meeting and conversation on the sets of 'Bigg Boss' available to the police during the investigation. The agreement was signed in August 2018, the showroom was opened at a cost of Rs 3 crore. According to the complaint, on August 3, 2018, a franchise agreement (MoU) was signed with Style & Content (Style Quotient) Jewellery Private Limited. After this, an exclusive showroom of 'Being Human Jewellery' was set up at a cost of about Rs 3 crore in the NAC area of Manimajra. About Rs 1 crore was spent on setting up the showroom. The complainant says that he complied with all the conditions of the company and the jewellery of the brand was also kept in the store. Salman Khan did not attend the inauguration, brother-in-law Aayush Sharma came The complainant claims that the showroom was to be inaugurated by Salman Khan but it did not come. Instead, Salman's brother-in-law (Arpita Khan's husband) and actor Aayush Sharma inaugurated the showroom on November 3, 2018. The trader alleges that the level of promotion promised was never met. Opened a showroom with a false assurance The complaint alleges that six people associated with the company opened a showroom near him by giving false assurances. He says that there was not the expected support from the company after the showroom opened. Since February 2020, the office through which 'Being Human' jewellery was to be supplied has been stopped. After that, new stock was not available, due to which the business was completely affected and eventually the showroom had to be closed. The matter has reached the police, Salman has sent a reply In July 2021, Arun Gupta filed a complaint with the Chandigarh Police after he did not get any relief from the company. In the complaint, Salman Khan, Alvira Khan, the directors of the company and others have been accused of cheating and making investments by giving false assurances. The police sought a reply from the parties concerned. According to the complainant, in 2021, when the notice was sent by the police, Salman Khan also sent his reply through e-mail. But as the matter dragged on for a long time and a settlement was not reached, the complainant approached the district court. Style & Content Jewellery Pvt Ltd had earlier issued a statement on social media saying that Salman Khan had no direct role in the matter. The company said that Salman Khan had nothing to do with the agreement signed with a businessman in Manimajra in 2018. The company also clarified that in 2015, the Salman Khan Foundation had given it a license to sell jewellery products under the Being Human brand. The company was solely responsible for the management, sales and business of the brand. The Chandigarh district court has directed Salman Khan, Alvira Khan and other accused to appear before it on October 5, 2026. The court has also sought a reply from all of them on the allegations levelled in the complaint. If an accused does not appear before the court without permission, action can be taken against him as per the law.
