Salman Khan's troubles: Court case filed against actor for 'pan masala' advertisement, accused of misleading youth
Salman Khan is in trouble due to the advertisement of Pan Masala. BJP leader and Rajasthan High Court lawyer Inder Mohan Singh Honey has filed a case against the actor. The complaint alleges that Salman Khan has advertised the pan masala brand in a way that misleads the youth. The case will be heard on November 27. Complainant Inder Mohan Singh Honey told ANI- "Salman Khan is a role model for many. We have filed a complaint against him in the Kota Consumer Court. In other countries, celebrities or film stars don't even endorse cold drinks, but here they promote products like tobacco and pan masala," he said. He further said that pan masala manufacturing company Rajshri Pan Masala and Salman Khan have made misleading advertisements claiming that their products contain cardamom and saffron pan masala. This claim cannot be true, as the price of saffron is around Rs 4 lakh per kg, which cannot be included in the production of Rs 5. Such false claims encourage youngsters to eat pan masala, which is a major cause of oral cancer. Following the complaint of Inder Mohan Singh Honey, the Kota Consumer Court has issued a notice to Salman Khan and sought a reply from him.
