Bollywood star Salman Khan's personal bodyguard on Saturday told a special court that the firing outside his residence in April 2024 was an attempted murder attempt on the actor. However, the name of Salman's personal bodyguard, who testified in the court so far, has not been revealed. It is worth mentioning that there are many bodyguards in Salman's security, the most important of which is Gurmeet Singh Jolly (Shera). According to news agency PTI, the trial of the case began last month, in which the bodyguard first gave a statement as a witness. On April 14, 2024, two bike-borne men opened fire outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. The bodyguard said he had come to his duty on April 13 at 7 pm. At that time, Salman's security was increased due to threats received from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. "On the morning of April 14, I heard a sound like firecrackers. It was seen on the CCTV screen that two men wearing helmets came on a bike and fired towards the building. The guards immediately reached the spot, the accused fled, according to the witness, the attackers fired four to five rounds. He and other guards then immediately went out, but the assailants fled towards the 'I love Bandra' point and then moved towards Mehboob Studio Road. Special Public Prosecutor Mahesh Mule presented CCTV footage in the court, in which the bike is seen approaching the gate. The witness identified the details in the video. The bodyguard said that Salman was in his bedroom on the first floor at the time of the incident. During cross-examination, he said that when he heard the voice, he was in the security cabin and had no personal knowledge about the threats received by the actor. Another witness, a police guard, told the court he was in the lobby and did not see the incident, but saw cartridges lying at the scene. According to the police, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, who were riding a bike, opened fire. Mohammad Rafiq Sardar Chaudhary had done recce of the area two days before the incident, made a video and sent it to wanted accused Anmol Bishnoi. Vicky Gupta, Sagar Pal, Sonu Kumar Bishnoi, Mohammed Rafiq Chaudhary and Harpal Singh are in judicial custody in the case. The accused, Anuj Kumar Thapan, committed suicide in police custody.
