The greed of money turned friendship into enmity: After waiting outside Sardardham, a murderous game was played; Early in the morning, the police stopped the bus and entered the house.

In yesterday's episode of 'Gujarat Crime Files', we saw that the body of Himmat Rudani, a well-known Patidar builder from the East area of Ahmedabad, was found in the trunk of his Mercedes car. In this case, the police formed 5 different teams and started the investigation. Now read the sensational sequence of chasing between the police and the accused... The statement of the deceased builder's son Dhawal Rudani was being taken at the Odhav police station. The police also asked the names of the suspects. Dhawal gave the names of some persons. Among them were the names of builder Mansukh Lakhani and his son Kinjal Lakhani. The police called 6 people including Mansukh and Kinjal for questioning. On the other hand, the police team on the ground was investigating how the car reached under the Viratnagar bridge. The route from which the Mercedes came could be seen by downloading the app. So the police downloaded the Mercedes company's application on Dhaval Patel's mobile and logged in by entering his mobile number, but it was not logged in. After this, he checked Himmatbhai's mobile number, but it was not logged in. The Mercedes was previously owned by someone else, so it could be logged in only with his number. So the police abandoned this attempt and increased the reliance on CCTV. Checking the CCTV, 2 unidentified youths were seen coming down the bridge with Himmatbhai's car. The youths parked the car under the bridge and then went a little further and sat on a Pulsar bike. So the police started checking the reverse CCTV footage from where the Pulsar bike came from and also got the number of the bike on the other hand. On the basis of the number, the police reached the owner of the bike. The owner was found present at the house. On interrogation, he gave the bike to his acquaintance Himanshu alias Rahul Rathore to ride the bike. Now the police started catching Rahul. When a team reached his house, Rahul was not present, so the police tried to trace him by getting his mobile number but could not be traced as the number was switched off. *** The accused fled from Ahmedabad and were nabbed from Rajasthan PI B.P. Savaliya had more technical knowledge. He did an analysis and found Rahul's second number. Since this number was on, it was possible for the police to trace him. The police interrogated the suspects who had given the names of the suspects, but no one opened their mouths, so the mystery of the case could be solved only if Rahul was caught. When the police got the location of Rahul's number, it was found near Amirgarh in Banaskantha. This location was about 182 kilometers away from Ahmedabad. If the Ahmedabad police left for Amirgarh, it would have taken 4 to 5 hours. By this time, Rahul would have been out of hand. Also, the location was constantly moving, so it was suspected that the accused was running away on the bike, so the Ahmedabad police coordinated with the Banaskantha SP and took the help of the police there. The police from Ahmedabad used to give a live location on the basis of which the Banaskantha LCB team was going towards the accused, but this team was far away from the accused. Coincidentally, a team of Banaskantha police was coming from Rajasthan, so he was informed about this. So the other team reached close to the location. Seeing the speed at which the location was moving, the police felt that the bike could not be driven at such a speed, surely the accused must be running in the car. The LCB team investigated but could not find the car anywhere. However, on the way, it was noticed that the luxury bus was going at a flood speed, so now a new twist has come. Earlier, the police believed that the accused might have fled in the car, but when the luxury bus was found at the location, it was confirmed that the accused were in it. The location stopped moving when 2-3 luxury buses were parked at a dhaba near the Rajasthan border. While chasing the bus, the LCB team also reached the dhaba. *** The police were also puzzled to see 2-3 buses. Now there was another challenge before the police here. There were 2-3 buses, so it was not decided which bus the accused would be in. If the accused came to know that the police had reached the dhaba, they would run away, so the police acted tactfully. Instead of making any movement, the police decided to hide and wait at some distance from the dhaba. In no time, a luxury bus left the dhaba. As soon as the bus left, the location also started moving, so the police realized that the accused were in this bus. Now the arrest scuffle started between the police and the accused. The police were following the luxury bus when the bus entered the Rajasthan border. This increased the concern of the police because the village of one of the accused was close to the border. So there was a fear that he would get down there. It must have been around 5 in the morning and the police went in front of the bus and stopped their car to avoid losing the opportunity in hand. So the driver of the bus had to stop the bus compulsorily. As soon as the bus stopped, the police personnel boarded the bus. The Ahmedabad police had already sent the LCB team by taking photos from the footage of the accused seen in the CCTV while parking the car. So it did not take long for the police to identify the accused. The police caught 3 accused from the bus and sent their photographs to Ahmedabad police for confirmation. The Ahmedabad police identified the photo of the accused through an acquaintance of the accused, after which the LCB caught the three accused and got them down from the bus and brought them to the police station. Since the case was sensitive, the Commissioner of Police of Ahmedabad was informed early in the morning that the accused had been caught. The Commissioner of Police thanked the Banaskantha SP and asked him to immediately hand over the accused to the Ahmedabad Police and sent a team to Banaskantha. When the Ahmedabad Police reached there, a total of 3 accused were in custody, namely Rahul (security guard), Pappu Meghwal (a labourer from Rajasthan) and a minor. Lure of giving Rs 1 crore cash and bungalow When the police were bringing these three accused to Ahmedabad, they confessed that they had killed Himmat Rudani at the behest of Mansukh Lakhani. When the accused were brought to Ahmedabad and interrogated, he said that a year ago, the accused Rahul used to work at Mansukh Lakhani's place. Mansukh gave him Rs 50,000 and asked him to break Himmat's hands and legs, but then it did not work. A few days before Himmatbhai's murder, Mansukh had asked Rahul what happened to the work he had given him. Rahul said that he could not do it, so Mansukh lured him that if he kills Himmat Rudani this time, he will give him one crore cash and a bungalow. Tempted, Rahul told his acquaintance Pappu Meghwal and a minor about Himmatbhai's murder and asked them to give him money. So both of them were ready to commit murder. Mansukh sent Himmatbhai's address and photo to Rahul. So Rahul along with his accomplices did a recce of Himmatbhai. Himmatbhai followed him to the site every morning and from there he also chased them there on his way to the bungalow. On September 13, the trio had planned the murder. Himmatbhai had followed them on a bike since he left home. Himmatbhai went from the site to the bungalow in Bhat. The accused were also behind him. After leaving here, Himmatbhai went to Nikol's Sardardham. When Himmatbhai parked the car in the basement of Sardardham, the three accused went near the car and stood there. As soon as Himmatbhai returned to the car after finishing work, the accused attacked him. 2 people held Himmatbhai and the third hit him one after another in the abdomen and chest. His body was kept in the trunk of the car. After this, one of the accused on a bike and the other two fled with Himmatbhai's car under the Biratnagar Bridge, 6 km away from Sardardham. The most important thing in this incident is that after the murder, Rahul sent a photo and video of Himmatbhai's body to Mansukh and demanded one crore rupees. However, in fact, knowing that Rahul had killed him, the ground slipped from under Mansukh's feet. He also deleted the photos and videos sent by Rahul and stopped receiving his phones. The police also arrested Mansukh after it came to light that he had given the contract for the murder. When asked by the police about the reason behind the murder, Mansukh said, "Since 2020, Himmatbhai's son Dhawal Rudani and my son Kinjal have been friends. The two young builders decided to do business together with a 50-50 per cent stake. The duo also formed a firm named KD Developers and launched a commercial project called Cannes Corner by taking land worth Rs 3 crore near Gangotri Circle in Nikol. Initially, everything went well, but then Kinjal started handling the business single-handedly. They made fake letterpads of the firm by forging Dhawal's signature. They also withdrew Rs 1.5 crore from the partnership account opened in the cooperative bank and also sold some shops without Dhawal's knowledge. In this case, Dhawal filed a complaint of fraud of Rs 1.5 crore with the Economic Offence Wing (EOW) of CID Crime. The matter reached the Supreme Court. So the quarrel between the two families was no longer over land but became a personal feud. There was also a talk of Rs 25 crore between Himmatbhai and Mansukh to break up the partnership. Which failed. Due to which Mansukh hatched a conspiracy to kill Himmatbhai. Thus, the land partnership of Rs 3 crore, which reached the dispute of Rs 25 crore, finally took the life of 62-year-old Himmatbhai. This case is still a topic of discussion in the builder lobby of Ahmedabad.
