While the construction of a new vegetable market is underway in Valsad, a group of vendors has made representations to the collector's office against the municipal corporation's decision to shift to the ground in the rail-affected area at the end of the city. The Valsad Municipal Corporation has been in the process for the last two months to demolish the old market and build a new market, but the sellers are not yet ready to migrate. A notification has been issued against selling in this premises, but in Tariyawad, the municipality is not ready to have a large group of sellers against alternative facilities in the open space. They had sought permission to take out the rally on May 29, saying that they could not go to Tariyawad under any circumstances, but due to the notification, the program was canceled. Despite being an area on the outskirts of Tariyawad city, the sellers are complaining that the municipality has chosen this area at the behest of one person.
