The Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed the Allahabad High Court's order directing Gautam Buddh Nagar District Magistrate Medha Roopam to pay Rs 5 lakh from her salary as compensation to student-activist Akriti Chaudhary, who was detained under the National Security Act (NSA) in connection with a workers' protest in Noida in April.
