iPhone-Android users are at risk, this vulnerability will come to the target of hackers, know how to survive?

iPhone and Android Users at Risk: Android and Apple iPhone devices are the most used devices worldwide. It is often seen that some of the features found on the iPhone are not available on Android, while some Android features are not available on the iPhone. However, a new threat has recently emerged, which could affect about 5 billion users due to flaws in both iPhone and Android. According to the report, this flaw has been found in Apple's AirDrop and Android's Quick Share features, due to which users become susceptible to hackers

These weaknesses came to light. According to
scientists, a total of six security vulnerabilities have been found in this system. Three of these vulnerabilities are related to airdrops. At the same time, three vulnerabilities are related to Quick Share and the Windows-Android connectivity system. Let me tell you that the biggest problem in AirDrop has been found in a background service called SHARINGD. The service manages many features such as AirPlay, Universal Clipboard, Continuity Camera, and Handoff. On the other hand, if we talk about the Quick Share present in Android, then some of the vulnerabilities in it can harm the file sharing system between Windows and Android.

Vi has launched a more expensive recharge plan than Jio and Airtel, will get a one-year validity

Scientists discovered these flaws.
Indeed, security researchers at the CISPA Helmholtz Center for Information Security in Germany have found flaws in both technologies that cybercriminals can use to target millions of devices. According to media reports, more than 5 billion iPhone, Android, Mac and Windows devices worldwide could be affected by this threat.

have companies found a solution?
The good news is that researchers have reported all these vulnerabilities to Apple and Google. In addition, updates have been issued for two security flaws. Both the companies are working on the remaining four issues and a security patch is also being developed for them

How hackers can take advantage
These two features are designed to detect all devices in the vicinity. To do this, a special service is always active in the background, which processes incoming data without the user's permission.

Researchers say that if the discovery option for AirDrop or Quick Share is set to Everyone, an attacker with only a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop can attempt to attack from a distance of about 10 to 30 meters

How to secure the device
If you want to avoid this problem, you need to take some precautions until you find a permanent solution. Avoid setting Discoverability settings for AirDrop or Quick Share to Everyone. If not necessary, set it to Nobody or Contacts Only. Also, turn off AirDrop or Quick Share after completing file sharing. Always keep your iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows devices updated with the latest software.
