Bhuj: A representation has been made before the Deen Dayal Port Authority Kandla alleging that port employees are demanding instalments for carrying out business and threatening to turn bulldozers at the place of business if the demand is not met. In the old and new Kandla Port areas, small businessmen are urged by the port administration, police administration to forcibly remove them.
The traders said that since the establishment of the port from Jayar, the lorry gallawalas have been doing business and providing tea snacks to small people like driver cleaners, but the port administration insists on removing them in a yen can manner. Installments are also demanded from them to carry out the business. If such a demand is not met, the bulldozer threatens to turn around. Bharatbhai Solanki of the Congress further said that these businessmen should be given alternative arrangements for their business and they should be made I-cards by charging partial rent.
