The US Department of Justice has released new and shocking video footage of the attacker who attempted to assassinate President Donald Trump. The footage tells the full story of the attack that took place at the Washington Hilton Hotel last week. In the video, the accused, Cole Allen, is seen breaking the security cordon and fleeing. He then opened fire on a Secret Service officer. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro for the District of Columbia said on the social media platform X that the video is "very important as evidence." He said the footage showed the 31-year-old suspect, Cole Allen, doing a recce of the hotel the day before the attack. He wanted to make Trump his target during the 'White House Correspondents' Dinner'. The video released by the Department of Justice is about six minutes long. Many different clips have been attached to it. Initial footage shows the suspect wandering around the corridors of the hotel and near the fitness center for a long time.
