According to the report, the Emirates Cricket Board described Pakistan as an "important member of the cricket family" and said that when no big country was willing to play in Pakistan, it was the UAE that provided them with a platform to play international cricket. The board believes that the cancellation of the most-watched match at a major event like the World Cup will have a negative impact on global viewers and sponsors.
