Vadodara: Anand Bhayo at Nand Ghar, Jai Kanhaiya Lalki echoes

During the celebration of Janmashtami-Nand Mahotsav in the temples of the city, a supernatural atmosphere like Vrindavan was created. At midnight of Janmashtami, the grandeur and divinity of Shri Krishna Janmotsav was celebrated with fireworks and sky fireworks.

During the celebration of the birth anniversary of Purna Purushottam Lord Shri Krishna, a grand celebration was held with Bhajan Sandhya, Bhakti-Sangeet, Satsang-Dance. In temples across the city, at midnight, Nand Ghar Anand Bhayo, Jai Kanhaiyalalki. Elephants, horses, palanquins, Jai Nand Lalki, along with the sky-high chant of Jai Nand Lalki, created a rainbow atmosphere. Devotees performed Panchamrit Abhishek to the Lord and offered offerings including butter-misri, panjari-mewa-sweets. In some temples, devotees celebrated the birth anniversary by cutting sattvic cakes. More than 75,000 devotees thronged the Gotri-ISKCON temple in the city during the two-day festival. The fireworks started at 11.45 pm in the premises of the ISKCON temple and continued till 1 pm. The rush of devotees continued till 4.30 am to boil the feet of the Lord. The cradle festival was performed at 7.30 am followed by Shringar Darshan-Mangala Darshan at 12 noon. Thousands of Vaishnavas, MP Dr. Hemang Joshi, City Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar and other dignitaries were present at the Shri Krishna Janmotsav-Nand Mahotsav held at the Manjalpur-Vrajdham Spiritual Complex in the city. On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmotsav, the Vaishnavas felt blessed by taking advantage of Panchamrit Darshan at midnight with sweet bhajans and kirtans. It is worth mentioning that on the occasion of Nand Mahotsav in different areas of the city, the heartbeat programs of Matkiphod were colorful.
