Vadodara city SOG has conducted intensive checking in view of the safety and security of the citizens as a large number of people are going to gather during the Navratri festival in Vadodara city. The SOG team along with the bomb squad and dog squad conducted surprise checks at Vadodara Central Railway Station as well as places where large crowds gather in connection with the Navratri festival. In the coming days, the movement of a large number of people is going to increase in malls, shopping centers, gardens, hospitals, cinemas as well as small and big garba grounds during Navratri. Following this, surprise checks are being carried out at such places for the safety and security of the people on the instructions of Police Commissioner Narasimha Komar. Under the guidance of SOG Police Inspector DJ Chudasama, the SOG police along with teams of Bomb Squad and Dog Squad conducted a thorough inspection of the station premises, entry and exit points and parking spaces as well as suspicious vehicles parked and luggage lying in the surrounding areas at Vadodara Central Railway Station for the safety of passengers. Apart from this, checks were also conducted at United Way Garba Ground, Vibrant Navratri Garba Ground, Sara Foundation Garba Ground and Beta Garba Ground. Checking was carried out at the Garba ground and surrounding parking areas to avoid any untoward incident in view of the movement of a large number of people during Navratri and the Garba Mahotsav. The Vadodara City Police will keep constant vigil for the safety and security of the citizens during Navratri.
