Vadodara: In order to prevent any untoward incident during the elections in Vadodara city, the police have started taking steps such as blockade and rounding up anti-social elements.
The police commissioner held a meeting with all police officers yesterday and gave instructions for blockade, vehicle checking, foot patrolling and combing. The police have rounded up 331 elements under various sections following the code of conduct. While 9 people have been detained under PASA.
After the implementation of the code of conduct, the police have registered a total of 197 cases of liquor and seized liquor worth Rs 42 lakh.
