Vadodara: Plantation of trees in the land of the disputed lake in Sadhli under the chairmanship of the MLA

On September 5, the village panchayat at Sadhali in Shinore taluka announced that a beautification, cleaning and tree plantation program would be held at the disputed lake site under the chairmanship of MLA Akshay Patel. But due to the dispute over the location of the lake, only the tree plantation program was held.

The program was started after lighting the first lamp in the tree plantation under the chairmanship of MLA Akshay Patel. But despite the death of the father of former Vadodara district BJP Minority Morcha president Sabbir Rathod, there was no two-minute silence. Which became a topic of discussion.

Bhavesh Tailor of the village demolished the embankment of the lake built by the panchayat at a cost of about Rs 25 lakh and reduced the area of the lake without the permission of the collector by forcing a space of 300 by 50 square meters in the lake. The programme announced by the panchayat today was a victim of controversy by violating the application of the district collector, DDO, Mamlatdar and TDO with its evidence. Eleven huge coconut trees, 11 big trees of Asopalav and two big neem and flower-covered bogan vines, and small banyan trees were uprooted from the embankment of the demolished old pond. These big trees were uprooted and today the tree plantation program held under the pretext of social forestry became ridiculous in the village. Out of a population of 7000, only 70 people from Sadhali were present. In which not a single woman member, including some members of the panchayat, was present.
