Women's Day 2026: Every woman must have these 3 apps on her phone, know what is there and why?

Women’ S Day 2026: International Women's Day is going to be celebrated all over the world tomorrow on March 8. On this special occasion, it is very important that we learn the right use of modern technology to ensure the safety of all daughters and sisters across the country. In difficult or dangerous situations, when immediate police or other help is needed, the smartphone can become a powerful weapon of security, rather than just a means of communication or entertainment. The Government of India and the police of various states have created some modern mobile facilities especially for the safety of women. Let us know in detail about the 3 most important mobile features that every woman must have on her phone

112 India App: Instant help from a single number across the country

Ministry of Home Affairs has created a very useful and fast mobile facility called 112 India. This feature has a special emergency button. Whenever a daughter or sister finds herself in danger or difficulty, all she has to do is press this button. At the click of this button, an instant message is sent to the nearest police station and support centre. The biggest feature of this facility is that it sends the exact location of the victim woman directly to the police control room, so that the police can reach there in a few minutes and save her life. If you can't open the phone's screen at a difficult time, a direct message can also be sent by simply pressing the power button to turn the phone on and off 3 times. This facility is easily available in many Indian languages including Hindi

e Rakshak App: Special self defence initiative for women

To further intensify the safety of women, the Madhya Pradesh State Police and the Government have jointly launched a mobile facility called e-Rakshak. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art space detection technology through satellites. Through this facility, any woman can directly contact her nearest police station in case of danger. In addition to asking for help, the facility also offers special lessons and videos for women on self-defense. By reading and seeing this information, women can learn to defend themselves physically and mentally in difficult situations and become more self-reliant.

Himmat App: Delhi Police's Suraksha Kavach for women

Women's safety has always been a major concern in the national capital, keeping this in mind, Delhi Police has created a special mobile facility called Himmat. There is also an emergency button in this facility, by pressing which all the information of the woman and the exact address of her whereabouts is directly sent to the main police control room. The most important and wonderful feature of this facility is that in case of an emergency, it automatically records the surround sound and video and sends it to the police. This gives the police a real sense of the situation at the crime scene and makes it very easy to take stringent action against the culprits.

In today's modern era, it is not just about talking about safety, but only with the right combination of precautions and technology, women can be protected in the true sense. These facilities boost the confidence of women while stepping out of the house or while travelling at night. It is the moral obligation of every member of the family to compulsorily download at least 1 or 2 of these 3 features on the mobile phones of the daughters of the house.
