CCTV cameras have been installed on various highways in Vadodara city by the Vadodara Municipal Corporation under the Vadodara Eye project at a cost of ₹ 100 crore.The main purpose of installing these CCTV cameras was the safety and security of the people, but cameras being installed to generate huge income. Based on the cameras, the city police penalise traffic rule violators and it is estimated that the city police have earned lakhs and crores of rupees from it.
