1,181 vehicles checked, 27 vehicles detained: 2 accused and man arrested with stolen bike in Deesa burglary

During the state-wide combing night, the Banaskantha LCB detected the undetected crimes of burglary of Deesa and vehicle theft of Dhanera. A total of 1,181 vehicle checks, 27 detainees, 115 hotel-dhabas, 39 farmhouses, 60 MCR and 27 absconding accused were checked in the district. There were 2 cases under GP Act 122. The Banaskantha LCB seized silver payals, jewellery worth Rs 36,000 from Mohammed Taim Ismail Sheikh and Shahrukhbhai Hanifbhai Makrani from Deesa in the combing night that lasted from 11 pm to 5 am on Monday. During interrogation, the crime of Deesa South was solved by confession of theft in a locked house in Ganjipura. A bike without a number plate was recovered from Praveen Singh Dol Singh Khant of Moti Akhol in Deesa near a drain on the Khhimana National Highway in Shihori area. The police checked the number of the bike and found that its registration was GJ-08-S-5707. Further investigation revealed that the bike had been stolen from near Thawar Gaushala in Dhanera. Mohsin Khan alias Lalo Iqbal Khan Nagori, a fugitive NDPS from Vadgam, and Jayeshji Bhawaji Thakor from Mandla were nabbed.
