Rain-ready? Ahmedabad civic body floats Rs 841 crore plan to end waterlogging woes

Ahmedabad faced waterlogging in 38 locations after recent rains. The city is undertaking 36 infrastructure projects worth Rs 841.45 crore to mitigate the problem. Currently, 29 projects are ongoing. New catchpits are being constructed and existing ones cleaned. Waterlogging was severe in Vejalpur, Naranpura, Nava Vadaj, and Jodhpur. Concerns arise as many projects may not finish before the monsoon season.
